Standalone Marketing Manager 

Our Client, a very successful company within product distribution, has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Manager to join their organization. Key Responsibilities:

  • Working as part of the senior Management team to contribute toward the future shape of the
  • Development of the annual marketing plan and budget in partnership with key suppliers and
    channel partners delivering a detailed marketing plan for all key sales channels, product sets and
    markets across all media channels
  • Deploying and driving through the business successful marketing campaigns owning their
    implementation from ideation to execution
  • Setting key metrics to measure performance throughout the campaign life cycle highlighting success / failure of campaigns and reporting ROI where applicable
  • Devising promotional and advertising activities such as brochures, email and direct mail campaigns
  • Ownership of the email marketing system delivering weekly campaigns to support growth of the
    regional sales activity and measuring success
  • Negotiating marketing rebates and contributions with suppliers to maximize merchandised credits
  • Development of the website and blog to ensure we attract and convert our target customer
  • Writing engaging content for the company websites, brochures, e-mail campaigns and catalogues
  • Development of e-commerce capability and revenue growth website deployment and growth of business including the running of website campaigns through SEO, email marketing, blogs and social media.
  • Organizing all aspects of company attendance at exhibitions, conferences and seminars
  • Organizing all aspects of company corporate events

Measurement / Deliverables:

  • Generation of new customers.
  • Introduction of new product ranges
  • Development of product and solution portfolio
  • Development of sales via e-commerce
  • Development of a quantifiable sales pipeline of opportunities.
  • Achievement of sales targets.
  • Sales development of underperforming suppliers.

Education/ Experience:

  • Degree educated. CIM Diploma in Professional Marketing desirable.
  • 5 years marketing experience. Both digital marketing and marcoms.
  • Previous experience in B2B is a must and experience working for an IT Company or within the data centre and LAN arena a distinct advantage but not absolutely essential.
  • Experience of channel marketing a must.
  • Previous experience in working with a smaller, growing, dynamic, fast-paced organization
  • Team player, a confident communicator at management level
  • Writing of marketing plan and putting together of marketing budgets.
  • Management of external agencies.
  • Experience in Vendor relationship management desirable.

  • Possess a hands-on approach and be self-motivated
  • Willingness to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others without having direct authority
  • Resourceful in reaching deadlines and quickly identify and communicate obstacles.
  • Must have excellent communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills
  • High attention to detail. Be the ‘protector of the brand’ at all times. Responsibility for maintaining brand management and corporate identity.
